Artbeat Studio
We love partnering with Artbeat Studio and celebrating the talented artists they work with! Artbeat Studio is one of nineteen programs and resources offered by Wood County Society. The backbone of Artbeat Studio is a group of talented artists with developmental differences creating masterpieces from up-cycled materials. The collaborative and exploratory process helps create an environment that fosters accessibility, inclusion, abundance, and compassion. The Art from the Heart Shop features items made by the artists who use the studio, and all proceeds go back to the studio and the artists.
By focusing on the process and the exploration of materials, whether it be paint, thread, clay, paper mâché, or fabric, Artbeat Studio helps artists to develop their own artistic processes and build their confidence.
You can find Artbeat Studio pieces in the shop, and 100% of the proceeds go back to the studio and its artists. We are proud to be a Partner For Inclusion with Artbeat Studio and hope you will, too!
Public Art
The Public Art Committee of Marietta Main Street facilitates the placement of temporary and permanent two- and three-dimensional artwork throughout downtown Marietta as well as arts-centered events. The purpose of these works is to enhance and enliven our public spaces, as well as our community’s sense of place and identity.
We believe public art is an impactful way to increase access to the arts and encourage residents and visitors alike to move throughout our downtown, exploring and discovering new aspects of our community. As a founding member of the MMS Public Art Committee and its current co-chair, I am proud to say that since 2016, the committee has successfully implemented 12 projects for a total investment of over $86,000.
In addition to serving on the committee, we help the committee raise funds for future projects by selling stickers in the shop featuring designs from a few of our murals! 100% of the proceeds go to the Public Art Committee’s fund.
