Our origins are in community storytelling and from the start, the mission of Clutch Collective has been to celebrate local culture, creativity, and community in our corner of Appalachia. Here you’ll find more than just updates from our shop - you’ll find stories about public art installations, local artists, creative organizations, and local small businesses that contribute to our creative economy. We are active participants in our local and regional art scene and we love to shine a light on the growing artistic movement we are witnessing in our community.
Celebrate Galentine’s in Downtown Marietta
Wit & Whimzy and Clutch Collective MOV, two boutique shops in downtown Marietta, are hosting their first Galentine’s Event on Tuesday, February 13th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Located at 154 and 152 Front Street, the two shops are partnering with local businesses Sips Coffee Truck and Honey Bun Bakery to sweeten the event.
Clutch Collective Hosts Book Signing with Local Poet Christopher Poindexter
Clutch Collective is hosting a special event with Marietta poet Christopher Poindexter for Marietta Main Street’s First Friday on February 2nd, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Poindexter will have copies of his latest book, English Leather, available for purchase and will be signing copies.
2024 Marietta Ice Festival
We were thrilled to partner with Wit & Whimzy again this year to sponsor an ice sculpture expertly carved by local artist Tyson Whistler as part of Marietta Main Street’s Ice Festival!

Clutch Collective & Marietta Makery Celebrate Artists Sunday
Two local shops are joining forces to bring Artists Sunday, a global event, to downtown Marietta this holiday shopping weekend. Clutch Collective and Marietta Makery are hosting a special one-day event on Sunday, November 26th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm to celebrate the work of local and regional artists.
First City Records Opens on Front Street
Marietta’s newest record store is on a mission to be the best record store in Ohio – and they’re off to a great start! Formerly named Monsters Horde, First City Records adopted a new name and look when they moved across town to their new location on Front Street.
Shop Pop-Up with West Virginia Artist Nevada Tribble
Clutch Collective hosted a special event with West Virginia artist Nevada Tribble for Marietta Main Street’s First Friday on October 6. A native of Elkins, WV, Nevada uses her artwork to explore a variety of materials and methods, including fiber arts and paper-making. Many of her pieces were created using her custom-built sewing bicycle.
GoodSpace Mural Celebrates Parkersburg Community
This month, the corner of 8th and Market Streets in Downtown Parkersburg came to life with the installation of a vibrant new mural. Designed by Greta McLain of GoodSpace Murals in collaboration with the Parkersburg community, the colorful collage includes images of local landmarks and people inspired by local residents.

Post Street Mural Gallery
How you noticed a fresh pop of public art in Marietta? The bump-outs along Post Street are that much brighter now that Marietta Main Street’s Public Art Committee has installed its Mural Gallery installation! Three sculpted frames were designed and fabricated by local artist Todd Morrow, each featuring two works of art by local artists.
Weird Flex Yoga
The story of Weird Flex Yoga begins with local artist and photographer Michelle Waters searching for metal yoga classes. “I love listening to metal, and I knew metal yoga classes existed, but I couldn’t find classes that played metal in our area.”
Parkersburg Piccalilli: An Artists’ Takeover
Parkersburg Piccalilli: An Artists’ Takeover is coming to the Parkersburg Art Center (PAC) on September 14 and 15, 2023. Parkersburg Piccalilli is an artists' conference that celebrates the arts while exploring the business of art.
Cutler Station’s “I Wanna Build a New Machine” Available on July 31
Cutler Station fans have been eagerly awaiting the band’s fourth album, “I Want to Build a New Machine” (or IWBANM for short) since it was first announced last year. The highly anticipated album comes out on July 31.

A vibrant new mural now surrounds the entrance to Point Park in Parkersburg, featuring imagery that reflects local flora and fauna.

Oyo Returns with “Another Round” on June 27
Fans of Oyo will be excited to learn that the band returns with its rowdy and eclectic sound in its sophomore release Another Round, due out June 27.
