New Second Sunday Pop-Up Series in Marietta

Wit & Whimzy and Clutch Collective MOV, two boutique shops in downtown Marietta, are bringing even more creativity to downtown Marietta this summer with the launch of a new event series, Second Sunday Pop-Ups!

The debut event will take place on Sunday, June 14th from noon to 4:00 pm, transforming one corner of downtown Marietta into a vibrant outdoor marketplace featuring local and regional artists, live music, and community gathering. Artists will be set up on the sidewalk in front of the shops on the 100 block of Front Street.

“I'm really excited for this event to give people the chance to meet some wonderful artists and vendors,” said Laura Pytlik, owner of Wit & Whimzy. “It also provides some fun and unique shopping on a Sunday afternoon when people may be looking for something different to do.”

The inaugural event will feature a diverse lineup of artists and makers. Local artists include Corrissa Flesher, Shannon Hammer, Michele VanMatre of Appalachian Anthropologie, and Missy Spangler of Crafting N’ Scrapping, joined by Seth Pitt of Thomas, WV, and Adrienne Galloway (The Queen of Arts) of Charleston, WV.

Visitors can also enjoy live music from Hannah and Levi Westfall as well as refreshments from SIPS Coffee Truck.

“We dreamed up these Second Sunday Pop-Ups as a fun way to support artists, bring people downtown on a Sunday, and provide the community with additional opportunities to connect with local creativity,” said Sarah Arnold, owner of Clutch Collective. “We’re excited to see our first event come together this weekend!”

Following the June event, additional Second Sunday Pop-Ups are planned for July 12 and August 9, with new artists featured each month. Arnold and Pytlik hope the event will become a staple this summer and grow into a yearly tradition.

The community is invited to shop local, discover new artists, enjoy live music and delightful drinks, and celebrate creativity in downtown Marietta this Sunday, June 14.
