We are active participants in our local and regional art scene and we love to shine a light on the growing artistic movement we are witnessing in our community.

Storybook Mural Adds Color to Community
Thereβs a new public art installation adding color and vibrancy to the corner of 5th and Washington Streets in Marietta, thanks to the Marietta Main Street Public Art Committee. Designed by local artist Alaina Pellett, the vinyl mural wraps the 6β tall electrical box with intricate storybook scenes that were hand-illustrated in colored pencil.

Shop Hop Pop-Up with Logan Schmitt
Clutch Collective, an art retail shop located in downtown Marietta, is hosting a special pop-up event with West Virginia illustrator Logan Schmitt on Saturday, March 23rd from 12:00 to 4:00 pm as part of Marietta Main Streetβs Shop Hop event.
From Clutch MOV to Clutch Collective
Before Clutch Collective, there was Clutch MOV. In fact, this month marks ten years since we first introduced Clutch MOV to the Mid-Ohio Valley with our official soft opening at Thrive CafΓ©. What began as a creative way to share local stories grew to become so much more.
Nevada Tribble Honors Local History with Installation
Earlier this month, West Virginia artist Nevada Tribble installed an art piece made from deconstructed baseballs in her hometown of Elkins, WV. The project is part of Woodlands Development & Lending's 'Lost Towns of the Mon' project, a permanent art collection in the newly rehabilitated Tygart Hotel.

Celebrate Galentineβs in Downtown Marietta
Wit & Whimzy and Clutch Collective MOV, two boutique shops in downtown Marietta, are hosting their first Galentineβs Event on Tuesday, February 13th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Located at 154 and 152 Front Street, the two shops are partnering with local businesses Sips Coffee Truck and Honey Bun Bakery to sweeten the event.
Clutch Collective Hosts Book Signing with Local Poet Christopher Poindexter
Clutch Collective is hosting a special event with Marietta poet Christopher Poindexter for Marietta Main Streetβs First Friday on February 2nd, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Poindexter will have copies of his latest book, English Leather, available for purchase and will be signing copies.

Two local shops are joining forces to bring Artists Sunday, a global event, to downtown Marietta this holiday shopping weekend. Clutch Collective and Marietta Makery are hosting a special one-day event on Sunday, November 26th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm to celebrate the work of local and regional artists.
First City Records Opens on Front Street
Mariettaβs newest record store is on a mission to be the best record store in Ohio β and theyβre off to a great start! Formerly named Monsters Horde, First City Records adopted a new name and look when they moved across town to their new location on Front Street.
Shop Pop-Up with West Virginia Artist Nevada Tribble
Clutch Collective hosted a special event with West Virginia artist Nevada Tribble for Marietta Main Streetβs First Friday on October 6. A native of Elkins, WV, Nevada uses her artwork to explore a variety of materials and methods, including fiber arts and paper-making. Many of her pieces were created using her custom-built sewing bicycle.
GoodSpace Mural Celebrates Parkersburg Community
This month, the corner of 8th and Market Streets in Downtown Parkersburg came to life with the installation of a vibrant new mural. Designed by Greta McLain of GoodSpace Murals in collaboration with the Parkersburg community, the colorful collage includes images of local landmarks and people inspired by local residents.

Post Street Mural Gallery
How you noticed a fresh pop of public art in Marietta? The bump-outs along Post Street are that much brighter now that Marietta Main Streetβs Public Art Committee has installed its Mural Gallery installation! Three sculpted frames were designed and fabricated by local artist Todd Morrow, each featuring two works of art by local artists.
